HTML5 is a markup language used for structuring and presenting content on the World Wide Web. This is the fifth revision of the HTML standard since the inception of the World Wide Web. The standard programming language for describing the contents and appearance of Web pages. Its core aims are to improve the language with support for the latest multimedia while keeping it easily readable by humans and consistently understood by computers and devices (web browsers, parsers, etc.). HTML5 is intended to subsume not only HTML 4, but also XHTML 1 and DOM Level 2 HTML.
In HTML5 : One of the biggest differences between HTML5 and previous versions of the standard is that older versions of HTML require proprietary plugins and APIs. (This is why a Web page that was built and tested in one browser may not load correctly in another browser.) HTML5 provides one common interface to make loading elements easier.
